To avoid stomach upset, transition your dog to Nala Health over 7 days by mixing increasing amounts with current food. Use a scale to weigh portions - not a scoop, as brands have different densities. Feed according to body weight, age and activity level (see the chart on packaging). Always provide free access to fresh, clean drinking water.

Our Story

Healthy Dogs, Happy Planet.

Our story began the day we brought our beloved Nala home. Her struggle with food allergies set us on a journey that in 2019 blossomed into Nala Health. Started by Cecilie, Synne and Finn, we're a family-driven venture deeply committed to dogs' health and well-being.

We replace meat with black soldier fly larvae - a complete, clean, allergy-friendly protein. Our insects are part of a circular economy: 1 kg of Nala Health protein diverts 5 kg of food from landfill using clean plant waste from microbreweries in Cape Town, and the insect frass becomes natural fertiliser.
